Tim Edstrom is a senior associate at The Bagley Law Firm. While his current focus is in criminal defense and family law, he has extensive experience in a wide variety of legal fields that include workers’ compensation, immigration, Social Security, civil litigation for personal injury, business disputes, civil rights violations, sexual harassment, and securities regulation.
When looking into Tim’s legal background, one will find that Tim has litigated some of the most high profile civil rights cases in Colorado history, including the contentious and highly publicized Michael DeHerrera and Juan Vasquez police brutality lawsuits.
Alone or as lead counsel, he has conducted approximately 60 jury trials for cases that range from criminal defense of murder in the first degree to civil cases with millions of dollars on the line. However, Tim feels just at home when litigating child custody issues or misdemeanor matters before the local municipal magistrate.
A graduate of the University of Lakewood College of Law, and having graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in political science, Tim has deep roots in Colorado. For instance, he has lived in Longmont, Colorado for over a quarter century, where he currently lives with his wife, Christina, and two small children.
Impressively, Tim taught himself Spanish, and now speaks Spanish, fluently. This linguistic skill set has served his clients well, as he proudly represents clients from a broad range of backgrounds and nationalities.
